Oneita K. Holladay, 93, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2006, at the Platte Valley Medical Center in Brighton, CO. She was born June 17, 1913, in Spearville, MO, to Fred & Minnie Kissel. She married Bruce Holladay. In 1957, the Holladay family moved to Limon. Oneita taught school for many years in the Genoa and Limon school district. The Holladay family also owned and operated the Dairy King in Limon for several years. Oneita enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She moved to Brighton to an assisted living center several years ago. Survivors include 2 children, Jim Holladay of Arvada, CO, and Judy Barnhart of Brush; 1 brother, Wayne Kissel of Genoa; and 5 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, 1 brother, and her parents. Funeral services will be Friday, August 11, 2006, at 11:00 AM at the Life in Christ Church, formerly known as the First Baptist Church in Limon. Interment will follow at the Pershing Cemetery in Limon. The Heer Mortuary & Crematory in Brush is entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
