Opal Ophelia Campbell, 90, formerly of Fort Morgan, died Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at the Rehabilitation and Nursing Center of the Rockies in Fort Collins. She was born February 1, 1921 in Beggs, Oklahoma to Frank and Annabell Green. Opal married Paul W. Campbell on March 20, 1953 in Vallejo, California. He died in 2007. Opal and Paul owned and operated the Drumstick Café in Fort Morgan for many years. She also had worked for many other restaurants in Ft. Morgan during her life. Opal was a member of the Women's Auxiliary in Ft. Morgan. Survivors include, one daughter, Beverly Brewer Mayes of Federal Way, Washington, 13 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Opal was preceded in death by her husband Paul, and children, Bobbie Brewer, Jerry Brewer, Richard Campbell, Judy Campbell Littlefield, and her parents. Memorial Services will be Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at 1:00 pm at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan. Services will conclude at the mortuary. There will be inurnment in Serenity Falls Columbarium in Ft. Morgan at a later date.
