Oscar Robert Padilla, 73, of Fort Morgan, died Thursday, April 9, 2009 at the Sterling Living Center in Sterling. He was born June 7, 1935 in Sabinas, Coah, Mexico to Jesus and Julia (Morin) Padilla. He married Molly Davila on January 21, 1983 in Fort Collins. Mr. Padilla was raised as a Catholic. He enjoyed taking care of his farm in Goodrich were he raised goats, chickens and pigs. He loved working in his garden. Most of all he loved spending time with all of his family. Survivors include his wife Molly of Ft. Morgan, daughters, Judy Kleen of Gilbert, Arizona, Colleen Padilla and Julia Knerim both of Glendale, Arizona and Julia Lambert of Ft. Morgan, son, Oscar Padilla Jr. of Phoenix, Arizona, step-children, Augie Martinez of Ft. Morgan, Lydia Carroll of Mt. Vernon, Texas and Harriet Zavala of Ft. Morgan, twenty three grandchildren and twenty nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a step daughter, Hope Martinez. Memorial Services will be Friday, April 17, 2009 at 10:00 AM at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary in Ft. Morgan. Services will conclude at the mortuary. The Heer & Dahl Mortuary in Fort Morgan is in charge of arrangements.
