Oscar Arthur Tibbetts 90 Longtime area resident, died Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at the East Morgan County Hospital in Brush. He was born March 2, 1916 in Alliance, Nebraska to Roy and Cora (Clark) Tibbetts. He married Marian A. Smith on September 16, 1944 in St. Francis, Kansas. They moved to Ft. Morgan from Wray in 1947. Oscar was a member of the Morgan Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed doing carpenter work and built the house they lived in as well as several others around this area. He liked gardening and traveling and served his church by helping with the remodeling of the new gym and Sunday School rooms. Oscar loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Marian of Ft. Morgan, two sons, Clifford Tibbetts of Brush and Roger Tibbetts of Ft. Morgan, two daughters, Joyce Gibson and Rhonda Keithline both of Ft. Morgan, twelve grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Oscar was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Karen Louise, two brothers, George and Albert Kittelmann and four sisters, Emma Parker, Augusta Bingham, Margaret Fortner and Lina Kittelmann. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, January 2, 2006 at 10:30 AM at the Morgan Church of the Nazarene in Ft. Morgan. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Monday, January 1, 2006 from 1:00 until 5:00 PM at the Heer & Jolliffe Mortuary in Ft. Morgan. Memorial gifts may be made to the Morgan Nazarene Church in Ft. Morgan.
