Paul Jerome Brinkman passed away on September 16, 2026. He was born July 27, 1967, to Therese (Tindall) Brinkman and Jerome Brinkman in Estherville, Iowa.

Paul grew up on the family farm in Estherville, Iowa, where he enjoyed riding his horse and the simple joys of farm life. His family moved to Windsor Colorado in 1985. Following graduation from Windsor High School in 1987, Paul attended Northeastern Junior College in Sterling, CO, and graduated with an Associates Degree in Agriculture Business in 1989.

Paul married the love of his life, Janet (Crawley) Brinkman, on September 16, 2000, in Brush, Colorado. They shared a life filled with family, friends, and many cherished memories. Paul worked as an Electrical Associate at Home Depot in Greeley. He transferred to the Greeley Home Depot from the Sterling Home Depot and worked for Home Depot since 2012.

Family was one of the most important parts of Paul's life. He especially enjoyed watching his nephews compete in various sports and loved spending time with those closest to him. Paul also loved his dogs, watching the Denver Broncos, and enjoyed grilling, cooking, and trying new recipes. Paul had a lifelong love of rodeo. He competed in local and regional rodeo events in bull riding and later enjoyed being a PBR spectator and wouldn't miss the NFR finals. Rodeo remained an important part of his life and was something he truly enjoyed.

Paul will be remembered most for his true kindness and gentle heart. His love for his family, his love of animals, his passion for rodeo, and the many simple moments he shared with those around him created memories that will be cherished for years to come.

Paul is survived by his wife, Janet Brinkman of Greeley, CO; siblings Mark (Luann) Brinkman of Omaha, NE; Julie (Paul) Calvin of Baxter, IA; Monica (Mark) Dymerski of Lakewood, CO; and Amy Sherling of Palmer, AK; Sisters-in-Law Brenda Harding and Wendy Harding and daughter Leila Harding of Queen Creek, AZ; nephews Jake Brinkman of Queen Creek, AZ; Josh Brinkman (Kyla) of Chandler, AZ: Matthew Harding of Queen Creek, AZ; Aaron (Paige) Calvin and their children Arthur and Rose of Burlington, VT; Sam Dymerski of Lakewood, CO; Connor Sherling of Palmer, AK; Cale Sherling of Estherville, IA; nieces Mary (Mike) Winning of Littleton, CO; Leah (Bobby) Caldwell and their children Josephine, Natalia, Camryn, Sophie, of Omaha, NE; Molly (Maxwell) Schmeising of Denver, CO; and many beloved relatives and close friends.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Jerome and Therese; brother Shawn Brinkman; brother-in-law Paul Sherling; parents-in-law Eugene and Helen Crawley; and his grandparents.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 28, 2026, with visitation at 10am and service at 11am at First Christian Church, 225 W Bijou Ave, Ft. Morgan, CO. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens.
