Paula C. Guerrero, 76, longtime Fort Morgan area resident, passed away Friday, March 25, 2016, at the Colorado Plains Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 7, 1939, in San Antonio, TX, to Jose & Lorenza (Cisneros) Contreras.

Paula married Vincent Guerrero on October 14, 1961, in Fort Morgan. She was a member of the St. Helena Catholic Church. Her faith in the Lord was very important to her and she continually shared her faith with her family. Paula was a very selfless and caring person.  She enjoyed working in her garden. She enjoyed birds, particularly finches. Her greatest joy in life was  her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her 3 sons, Dino, David, & Vincent Guerrero and 1 daughter, Julia Greenwood all of Grand Island, NE; 3 sisters Maria Contereas and Josie Contreraz, Elida Contreras all of Fort Morgan; and brother Joe Contreras of Lubbock, TX; 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent; her parents, 4 brothers, Lino, Jessie, Margarito, Macario Contreras, and 1 sister, Guadalupe Guerrero.

A rosary service will be recited on Friday, April 1, 2016, at 10:00 AM at St. Helena Catholic Church. The Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow the Rosary. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens
