Pauline Marie Kerksiek, 66, formerly of Wiggins, died Sunday at her home in Colby, Kansas. She was born October 13, 1943 in Artesia, New Mexico to C.R. and Betty Doughty. She married Leroy Kerksiek October 8, 1965 in Fort Morgan. They made their home south of Wiggins where they farmed for many years. She also owned Pauline's Clothing Store in Wiggins. They moved to Colby KS in 2007. She was faithful to God and to her family. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Keenesburg. She enjoyed yard sales, crafts and crocheting. She was an excellent seamstress. She is survived by her mother Betty Shaw of Greeley, CO., her husband Leroy of Colby, KS, her children and their families, Tina Walker and her husband Loren of Fort Morgan and Vance Kerksiek and his wife Mary of Colby, KS, 5 grandchildren, Chris Walker, Bobbi Walker, Daniel Kerksiek, Steven Kerksiek and Cody Kerksiek. three sisters, Martha Wilke and her husband Sid of Eaton, CO, Pat Mortenson of Greeley, CO and Leona Dupont of Alabama, two brothers, Van Doughty of Wellington, CO and Ken Doughty and his wife Susan of Denver. She was preceded in death by her father, and one sister Linda Kay Doughty. A memorial service will be held on Friday at 2:00 pm at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan.
