On May 31, 2023, Paulino Diaz Villarreal passed away with family by his side. Paulino was 87 years old. He was born in Rio Hondo, Texas to Juan and Ynes Diaz Villarreal. He lived in the Rio Grande Valley until he moved to Colorado where he met the love of his life Lilia "Lillian" Garcia. Together they had 8 children and lived in Hillrose, CO.
He worked with the local farmers when he first arrived in Colorado and then for Weisbart/Boxer Feedlot for 26 years after which he worked for Cattle Co until he retired.

He also enjoyed watching the girls fastpitch softball and often mentioned that they played better than the Rockies. Other activities he enjoyed was working in his garden, reading his bible and when he was younger playing the guitar, accordion, harmonica, singing and boxing.
He was preceded in death by his parents Juan and Ynes Diaz Villarreal, his beloved wife Lilia "Lillian" Garcia Villarreal, nine brothers and sisters, two sons Paulino Jr and Estevan Villarreal, and his son-in-law Dana Shinker. He is survived by his remaining siblings, Phyllis Neibauer of Payson, AZ, Roman (Hortencia) Villarreal of Garden City, KS, Benita Council of Manhattan, KS and his children, Leonard (Debra) Villarreal, Lisa Villarreal Shinker, Yolanda Villarreal, Nancy Villarreal, Michael (Amanda) Villarreal, Nicole (Avery) Garcia, 15 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
