Pedro Arriola, 75, longtime area resident, died Thursday, May 14, 2015 at the East Morgan County Hospital in Brush. He was born October 12, 1939 in Oshkosh, Nebraska to Alvin and Caroline Arriola. Pedro married Julia Aguirre on August 21, 1996 in Brighton, Colorado. He was a member of Saint Helena's Catholic Church in Fort Morgan. Pedro enjoyed fishing and camping. He is survived by his wife Julia of Fort Morgan, children, Theresa Arriola, Albin Arriola, and Ray Arriola all of Sterling, step-children, Ricky Alva of Log Lane Village, Bob Alva of Sterling, and Frank Alva of Littleton, his sister, Josephine Rios of Uvalda, Texas, grandchildren, Emilio Meras, Carlos Meraz Jr., Phillip Arriola, Christopher Arriola, Rachel Arriola, Lucas Stearns, Danielle Arriola, Anthony Arriola, Paul Alva, Thomas Alva, Daniel Alva, Mark Alva, Alex Alva, Joel Alva, A J Alva, and Shane Alva, and 10 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother. There will be a visitation on Monday, May 18th from 2 until 6 pm at the Heer Mortuary in Fort Morgan followed by the Rosary Vigil at 6:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, May 19th at 10:30 AM at Saint Helena's Catholic Church in Fort Morgan. His remains will be cremated after the mass.
