Phyllis Louise Bass, 73, is absent from the body and is now face to face with her Lord and Savior. Phyllis was born in Independence, Oregon on May 6, 1941, to Henry & Ruth Refior. When Phyllis was a year old, the family moved to North Platte, NE. They then moved to Denver several years later, and finally to Fort Morgan to farm years later. Phyllis graduated from FMHS in 1959. On June 25, 1961, Phyllis married William E. Bass in the First Baptist Church in Brush. Together they raised four boys on a dairy farm south of Brush. Survivors include her husband, William Bass of Brush; 3 sons Dan (Danette) Bass of Hillrose; Donn (Deanna) Bass of Fort Morgan; and Philip Bass of Sterling; five grandchildren, Justin Bass of Denver, Sarah Bass of Greeley, Vickie Bass, Kyle Bass and Samantha Bass all of Fort Morgan; three great grandchildren; Sway, Alexis, and Sierra; three brother; Lee (Barb) Refior of Dallas, TX; Louis (Becky) Refior of Wichita, KS, and Fred (Joyce) Refior of New Mexico. She was preceded in death by one son Mark Bass and her parents. A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 15, 2014, at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Brush at 11:00 AM. The service will conclude at the Mortuary. Private inurnment will be in the Brush Memorial Cemetery.
