Phyllis Ann Hamburg, 72, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family following a long fight with cancer on Sunday, November 1, 2020.

She was born September 28, 1948 in Brush to John & Mabel Herman, the fifth of six children and a lifelong resident of Morgan County.  During the summer of '65, Phyllis met the love of her life, Edward Hamburg while cruising Main Street in Fort Morgan.  The two of them fell in love and eloped to Greeley on January 21, 1966, and they began their life together in Fort Morgan.  Their family grew quickly of the years with the birth of their five children.  She worked as a Candy Striper at the Fort Morgan Hospital and later worked at Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center as a nurse's aide for many years.  She was a loving wife and mother who always thought of others before herself.  She enjoyed fishing with her husband, gardening, and being surrounded by her children and grandchildren.  Phyllis & Edward were lovingly married for 54 years and she will be forever missed by everyone who knew her.

Survivors include her husband Edward of Fort Morgan; 4 children Kimberly (Brian) Moore of Wiggins, Michael Hamburg & his partner, Jake Uhrig, of Otis, CO, Jeremey (Stephanie) Hamburg of Lochbuie, CO, and Brian Hamburg of Fort Morgan; 3 grandchildren Anthony Hamburg of Greeley, Amiliana and Maci Hamburg of Lochbuie; 1 brother Harold Herman of Farmington, NM.  She was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Kerry Hamburg of Fort Morgan; 2 sisters & 2 brothers, John Herman Jr. of Fort Morgan, Keith Herman of Log Lane Village, Margaret Hurley of Jolliet, IL, Norma Ladd of Merino, and her parents John & Mabel Herman of Brush.

At Phyllis' request, no formal service will be held.
