Obituary

PHYLLIS HASTING, 68, former Fort Morgan resident, died Tuesday evening, Dec. 5, 2006 at the North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley. She was born July 27, 1938 in Fort Morgan, CO to John & Margaret (Eicher) Holly. She married Rudolph F. Caddy in 1957. They had three children and later divorced. She married Mark Hasting in 1967 in LasVegas, NV. They had two children. Mr. & Mrs. Hasting owned and operated the Wayward Wind Restaurant and the Smorgasbord Restaurant in Fort Morgan from 1967 until 1994. In 1995 Mrs. Hasting moved to Greeley where she worked at JcPenney in the Greeley Mall until her retirement this last April. Mrs. Hasting was an avid Bronco fan. She was a faithful member of "Bronco Sunday". Survivors include her five children; Randall Caddy, Darin Caddy, and Kimberly Hasting, all of Greeley, Holly Caddy of Brush, and Toby Hasting of Wiggins, three sisters; Winona Musser of Weldona, Jo Westhoff and Charlotte "Cookie" Schauermann, both of Fort Morgan, 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She is also survived by 3 step-children. Mrs. Hasting was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Mark Hasting, and one step-son. A memorial service will be Saturday, Dec. 9, 2006 at 1:00 PM at the Heer & Jolliffe Mortuary Chapel, 225 E. Platte Ave., Fort Morgan, CO. Services will conclude at the chapel, there has been cremation. Family & friends are invited to dress in their favorite Denver Bronco's attire for the service. Friends who wish may make memorials to the American Cancer Society in care of the Heer & Jolliffe Mortuary in Fort Morgan.
