Phyllis E. Haws, 77, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2009, at Sunset Manor Nursing Home in Brush. She was born March 31, 1932, in Norton, KS, to Theodore & Ethel Dobbie. On September 28, 1952, Phyllis married Edgar Haws in Raton, NM. The Haws family moved to Fort Morgan in 1971. She was raised in the Christian Church. She enjoyed sewing, volunteering in her church, and working with handicap people. Survivors include her husband, Edgar of Fort Morgan; 2 children, Karen Haws of Aurora, CO, and Calvin Haws of Fort Morgan; 1 sister, Donna Sonier of Garden City, KS; and 3 grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 12, 2009, at 11:00 AM at the Calvary Baptist Church, 1120 State Street in Fort Morgan. The service will conclude at the church.
