R. Lynn Ferris, 75, former Fort Morgan resident, passed away Friday, December 9, 2011, at the inpatient hospice unit at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley. He was born October 12, 1936, in Vona, CO, to Robert P. & Ferne Ferris. Lynn married Margaret Hood on May 28, 1965, in Westminster, CO. Prior to retirement, Lynn worked as a district supervisor for Public Service Company. Survivors include his wife, Margaret of Greeley; his children Jack Hood, and his wife, Debbie, of Loveland; Terry Hood and his wife, Julie of Thornton, CO; Sandra Werle of Apache Junction, AZ and Bob Ferris of Mesa, AZ; 1 sister, Colleen Taylor, of Lakewood, CO; 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Larry & Lee, and his parents. Visitation will be Monday, December 12, 2011 from 4 to 6 at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary in Fort Morgan. A funeral service will be Tuesday, December 13, 2011, at 2:00 PM at the Highland Cemetery Chapel in Thornton. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery.
