Ralph Edwin Bath, 88. lifelong area resident, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 5, 2010. He was born August 8, 1921 at the Warner Farm on the East side of Ft. Morgan to Jacob and Maria (Kroh) Bath. The family moved to the Curry Farm in 1930. Ralph attended country schools and when Ft. Morgan started their school bus system in 1928 he started riding the bus and attended Central School in Ft. Morgan. Ralph graduated from Ft. Morgan High School in 1942. After high school he enlisted in the Seebees, a branch of the Navy, and was stationed at Pearl Harbor for a time. He also spent 2 ½ years on other islands in the South Pacific helping build landing strips for American Bombers. Ralph married Victorine Hanson on January 4, 1947 in Ft. Morgan. He farmed for several years and after that worked as a truck driver and helped build parts of the new I-76 highway and also different power plants in Colorado. Ralph was a member of the VFW and Teamsters Union #7. He enjoyed gardening, especially in his beautiful rose garden, yard work, reading the bible, watching the Broncos and riding around town with his dog Max. Ralph loved his family and they were very important to him. Survivors include, his wife Victorine Bath of Ft. Morgan, three daughters, Cynthia Jennings and husband Bob of Westminster, Betsy Yearous and husband Jim of Sapulpa, Oklahoma and Gail Westhoff and husband Gary of Ft. Morgan, one sister, Helen Bath of Brush, one brother, Robert Bath of Victorville, California, seven grandchildren, Matthew Yearous and wife Tracy of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Laura Yearous and Elizabeth Yearous both of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Joel Yearous and wife Jenny of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Dr. Gina Westhoff-Khavul and husband Mike of Portland, Oregon, Gennifer Westhoff of Ft. Morgan and Ginger Westhoff of Denver and two great grandchildren, Sterling Yearous and Adalynn Westhoff. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, Jake Jr., Harry, Henry, Harold and Fred Bath, five sisters, Mary Langhofer, Rose Shanholtzer, Martha Bath, Paula Fuller and Lillian Nichols. Graveside Memorial Services will be held Monday, May 10, 2010 at 11:00 am at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Fort Morgan.
