Ralph E. Hollenbeck, 79, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2014, at his home in Brush. He was born April 19, 1935, in Topeka, KS, to Ira L. & Rosa C. Hollenbeck. Ralph married Judie Folsom on September 2, 1965, in Montrose, CO. They moved to Brush in 1979. Ralph owned & operated Ralph's Lock & Key in Brush until health issues forced him to retire. Ralph was an avid sports fan. He loved watching football, especially the Denver Broncos, playing softball, and fishing. He also enjoyed making candles, gardening, building model trains, working with stained glass, building birdhouses and doing woodwork. Survivors include his wife, Judie; 3 children, Teresa West and Michael Hollenbeck both of Brush and Katherine (Brian) Uhrich of Fort Morgan; and 1 sister, Doris I. Hall of Holton, KS. He was preceded in death by his brothers, James & Charles; his sisters, Alpharetta, Ellen and Maxine and his parents. A funeral service will be held Thursday, December 11, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Heer Mortuary Chapel. Interment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Heer Chapel on Wednesday from 4 -6 PM.
