Obituary

Ramona Irvine, 80, of Foristell, MO, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2021, knowing she was loved by her family. She was born on September 8, 1941, to Clifford Hunt and Sarah (Martin) Hunt, in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

After attending the local schools, Ramona went on to graduate from Laramie High School in 1959. She then continued her education at the University of Wyoming. Ramona went to work at Frontier Airlines General Offices in Denver and began working in the financial department. On June 9, 1962, she married the love of her life, Gordon Irvine from Walden, Colorado. The happy couple were blessed with two beautiful daughters; Kise and Kim. The family ranched on the west side of Walden, and thoroughly enjoyed their time there together. While living in Walden, Ramona was a member of the North Park Cattle Women's group, of which she was a past president; Walden Rebekah Lodge 42. On January 1, 1972, Ramona and her family moved to Brush, Colorado to farm and ranch. While in Brush, Ramona was the 4-H leader of the Bits-N-Spurs 4-H club for 15 years. She enjoyed the horse events, rodeo, and bull riding in the area. Ramona also did the announcing at the horse events for 33 years. She has been a member of the National Association for Family and Community Education Clubs for 43.

Ramona worked for the Brush School District for 25 years, she loved working with children. She started out in 1978 driving a station wagon from each school to the resource room for special needs kids at the Brush Middle School. The next year she was a teacher's aide in the Title I Thomson Elementary School. Ramona was elementary secretary at the Central Elementary School in Brush for 10 years. She then went to be Financial Secretary at the Brush District Office and retired in October 2003. Ramona went to work at the Brush Chamber of Commerce as an Executive Secretary and enjoyed working there until 2006. She and her husband, Gordon, moved to Foristell, MO, in 2006, so that they could be closer to their granddaughters; Breanna and Dakota Lindell. Ramona loved being around the girls and watching them participate in their events. Ramona also enjoyed quilting, knitting, and computer technology. She will be remembered lovingly by all those who knew her.

She is survived by her two daughters; Kise (Merlin) Gertson , and Kim (Brian) Lindell, two granddaughters; Breanna Presley and Dakota Wagster, a great-grandson, Luke Wagster, and several nieces and nephews.

Ramona was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Sarah Hunt, her husband, Gordon, a sister, Faye Hunt; and a brother, Keith Hunt.
