Obituary

Randall (Randy) Joe Danielsen, lifelong resident of Brush Colorado, passed unexpectedly on June 27, 2022.

Randy was born May 6, 1964, the second child to Robert and Jody (O'Daniels)Danielsen. Randy attended Brush public schools, graduating a Brush Beetdigger in 1982. In 1985 Randy married Pam Yeager and they welcomed daughter Pamela and son Austin. After their divorce, Randy met and married Jackie Phillips in November 1996 welcoming two more daughters, Shawna and Briana.

Randy worked many years for Pepsi, High Plains Youth Center and Cattico (Dinklage) Livestock Feed Yard.  Danielsen Apiaries, a honeybee business from his grandfather, was a big part of his life and through the years he worked the honeybees with his Dad and Uncle Ray. Randy assisted with the cadet program for the Morgan County Sheriff's department and worked the Brush rodeo with Jackie for many years. He was just ending several years as President of the Rodeo Association this year. Randy enjoyed working with and being in the public, you would often see him at Drover's restaurant enjoying a meal or having an iced tea, giving all the waitresses a hard time. Out in public, he was rarely seen without a Mountain Dew and always had his can of Skoal in his pocket.

Randy is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. He is survived by his wife, Jackie Danielsen; children Shawna (bobby Rodriguez of Georgia, Pamela (Jesse) Koch, of Brush, Austin Danielsen, of Fort Morgan, and Briana Danielsen of Brush; his sister, Susan Stroh of Brush; brother Mike (Lisa) Danielsen of Brush, Penny (Alan) Leonard, of Snyder. Randy had five grandchildren he thought the world of, Dathan and Makia Rodriguez, Lorin, Cole and Morgin Koch, and he had many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A simple memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM July 23, 2022 at the Hillrose Community building in Hillrose, CO. Please dress casual; Randy would want everyone to be comfortable. Services will end at the community building.
