We remember Randy Lee Shriver, 64, who sadly left us on March 31, 2025 at Saint Anthony North Hospital in Westminster, Colorado. Randy was born to Melvin and Sharon Shriver on September 17, 1960 in La Junta, Colorado.

Randy joined the Army in 1979 where he served for 3 years, attaining the rank of SP4, Military Police. He was awarded with the Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Ribbon, Expert (hand grenade/ rifle) and Marksman (pistol).

It was while he was stationed in Hardheim, Germany that he met his wife, Gertrud. Randy and Gert were married in 1982 in La Junta, Colorado where Randy worked as a ditch rider. Shortly after they welcomed their first child, Sabrina. Work then took the family to Fort Morgan where Randy was employed at Excel Meat Solution from which he retired as a supervisor. Randy and Gert completed their family by adding two more children, Rebecca and Christopher.

As his children grew older, Randy went from a great Dad to an amazing Papa. His seven grandkids, Rayne, Ally, Aubrey, Brooklyn, Chase, Eli, and Emmett, were cherished and doted on by Randy endlessly.

Randy spent his spare time attending the many activities and sports that his kids and grandkids participated in. Westling, tennis, cheer, dance and school plays, nothing was missed. He would also enjoy quality time with his brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Cary. Between family dinners around a huge dining table, and countless hours spent enjoying each other's company and filling Easter eggs, if you know you know, Randy could easily be classified as one main thing: a Family Man. His family did not end with his direct family but extended to the many friends he has made along the way.

Randy is preceded in death by his parents Melvin (Melba) and Sharron (Joe) and his siblings, Ricky Shriver, Sandra Nunez, Timothy Shriver, and Michael Shriver.

He is remembered with love by his wife, Gertrud Shriver, His children Sabrina (Anthony) Garza-Salazar, Rebecca (Heath) Doiel, Christopher (Amanda) Shriver, his grandchildren Rayne, Ally, Aubrey, Brooklyn, Chase, Eli, and Emmett. As well as his brother Paul (Cary) Shriver, and sister Nancy (Dave) Whatley.

A memorial service and reception will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025, at 10 a.m. at the Platte Valley Baptist Church, 22750 US Highway 34, Fort Morgan, Colorado.
