Ray Eugene Chenoweth, 83, was born December 29, 1931, in LaJunta, Colorado to Howard & Lola (Robins) Chenoweth. He passed away on Friday, August 21, 2015, at the Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush. Ray grew up in Springfield, Colorado. On December 26, 1953, he married Edith Earlene Priddy. They moved to the Woodrow / Last Chance community in 1955. Ray worked at various ranches and farms until he retired in March, 2010 and moved south of Brush. Ray always enjoyed going fishing and sitting in front of his house waving at vehicles going by the house. He also enjoyed seeing his grandkids and great grandkids. His favorite time was spent with his dog, Sophie. Survivors include his wife Edith Earlene Chenoweth of Brush; 2 sons, Rick Chenoweth, and his wife Sharon of Woodrow, and Doug Chenoweth of Brush; 1 daughter, Karina Graulus and her husband Jerry of Fort Morgan; his grandkids, Greg (Kelly) Chenoweth of Akron and Stacy Chenoweth of Kersey, CO and Kyle Graulus of Fort Morgan; his great grandkids, Trent Chenoweth, Adrienne Chenoweth, Felicity Ward, and Zegue Ward; his brother Bob (Barbara) Chenoweth of Springfield, CO; 2 sisters, Phyllis Peever and Terrie (Chet) Hiner both of Ulysses, KS; and his sister-in0law, Margie Chenoweth of Springfield, CO. He was preceded in death by one brother Don Chenoweth and his parents. At Ray's request, no formal funeral service will be held. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to the Heer Mortuaries & Crematory.
