Ray Hawkins, 89, passed away Friday, November 14, 2008, at the Sunset Manor Nursing Home in Brush, CO. He was born October 1, 1919, in Benson, MN, to Daniel O. & Goldie Hawkins. He served in the U S Army during WWII. On July 29, 1950, Ray married Joanne Lieske in St. Paul, MN. Prior to retirement, Ray worked as a Parts Inspector for Honeywell Corporation. In 1999 Ray & Joanne moved to Brush, CO. He enjoyed fishing, and working in his yard and garden. Survivors include his wife, Joanne, of Brush, CO; 3 children, Pamela Beckius of Jordan, MN, Gregory Hawkins of Delano, MN, Terri Ann Hawkins, of Phoenix, AZ.; 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents by 1 sister, Marie Linn; 2 brothers, Gary & Bud; and his parents. A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 12:00 noon at the Dingman Funeral Chapel in Kimball, MN. Visitation will be at the Dingman Chapel on Saturday 11 – 12.
