Obituary

RAYMOND S. ANDERSON, 74, of Fort Morgan, died Saturday, December 8, 2007 at Swedish Medical Center in Englewood. He was born May 18, 1933 in Wild Rose, ND to Silas & Signa (Johanson) Anderson. He married Betty Kane on April 21, 1988 in Brush. Mr. Anderson drove a semi-truck all of his working life. He drove a water truck in the north slope of Alaska for 12 years, and at the time of his death he was driving for D.F.A., which he has done for the last 12 years of his life. Anderson was a member of the V.F.W. Post 2551. He enjoyed fishing, playing pool, and doing crossword puzzles. Survivors include his wife, Betty Anderson of Fort Morgan; six children, Kathleen Meyer and Joe Keefe, both of Fort Morgan, Janet Boes of Stevensville, MT, Jerry Anderson and Joan Wilson, both of Williston, ND, and Anne Marie Jones of Granby; 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jane Nichols; his sister, Harriet Reider, and his parents. A memorial service will be Thursday, December 13, 2007 at 1:00 PM at the Heer & Jolliffe Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan. Inurnment will follow in Serenity Falls Columbarium in Fort Morgan with Military Honors conducted by the V.F.W. Post 2551. Friends may make memorial donations in Anderson's name to the V.F.W. Post 2551. The Heer & Jolliffe Mortuary in Fort Morgan is in charge of arrangements.
