Raymond Berg Jr., a retired gas construction foreman, passed away on September 1, 2021, at the Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush.
Ray is survived by his wife of forty years, Cecilia (Cis) Berg; his children Barton Berg and Brenda Guill; his grandchildren Christina Guill, Alexis Guill, and Tucker Berg; his great grandson, Cody Salazar and his nephew, Brett Berg. He was preceded in death by his brother Gerald Berg and his parents Raymond and Erlean Berg.
Ray was born in Brighton, Colorado on Valentine's Day, February 14, 1939. He graduated from Louisville High School in 1957 and started his work career shortly thereafter. Ray transferred to Brush in 1977.
Ray was at his best with a fishing pole in hand or on hunting excursions at his beloved "ranch" near Drake, CO. He was also an enthusiastic football and baseball fan. He loved tending to his flower gardens, spending lots of time smelling the roses.
He will be deeply missed by his family, his Brush friends, his Denver friends, his Louisville friends, his Loveland friends, and his Rushville friends.
Per Ray's wishes, a Celebration of Life Open House will be held at the Morgan County Moose Lodge on Saturday, October 16 th . Doors will open at 11:00 AM with a goodbye toast at high noon. Memorial gifts may be made to the East Morgan County Library as a tribute of his love of reading. The donations may be sent to the Heer Mortuary.
