Raymond Arnold Sunderman, 85, was called to his eternal home on June 2, 2015 after a long battle with Parkinson's. He was born in Sidney, NE to Arnold and Margaret Sunderman on October 30, 1929. He graduated from Sidney High School in 1947. Ray served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1955. He married Marian Sherwood on November 4, 1951. Ray worked as an electronic technician for Schlumberger Well Services for 33 ½ years, first in Sidney, NE, then in Farmington, NM, and finally in Fort Morgan. He took over his dad's farm south of Akron, which was always a passion for him. Raymond enjoyed golf, playing cards, traveling, and spending time with his family. Ray was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran since 1962, where he served as elder and in various other offices for many years. He is survived by his wife, Marian; children, Karen (Kim) Montross of Centennial, CO, Steven (Pam) Sunderman of Fort Collins, CO; brother, Maurice (Shirley) Sunderman of Yuma, CO; sister, Marilyn (Eugene) Meier of Sidney, NE; 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. A Worship Service will be held on Friday, June 5th at 10 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church at 7th and Sherman St. in Fort Morgan, CO. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
