Regina Ann Longcor, 71, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2011, at the University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora, CO. She was born November 24, 1939, in Elsie, Nebraska to George and Margaret Lee and grew up on a ranch and farm near Elsie. After graduating from St. Patrick's Academy in Sydney NE, Regina attended St. Paul Technical College in St. Paul, MN. In 1970, Regina married Jim Longcor. They settled in Fort Morgan in 1973 where Regina worked for many years at the East Morgan County Hospital and at Morgan County Social Services. Regina was a devout Catholic and active member of St. Helena parish. She enjoyed cooking and gardening, especially raising different hybrids of roses. She was especially proud of her Irish heritage and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Jim Longcor of Log Lane Village; her children, Jim Colgan of Northglenn, CO; Sean Colgan, and his wife Beth of Foxfield, CO; Ed Colgan and his wife Josephine of Westminster, CO; Vince Longcor and his wife Shawna of Wiggins, CO, and nine grandchildren. She is also survived by 4 brothers, Jim, George and Vince Lee of Elsie, NE and Bill Lee of Commerce City, CO. She was preceded in death by 1 brother, Jack Lee of Champion, NE, and her parents. Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 19, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Helena Catholic Church in Fort Morgan. Interment will follow in the Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 3-7 pm with a rosary vigil to begin at 7 p.m. at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary in Fort Morgan.
