Reinhart Weimer, 88, lifelong area resident, died Thursday, January 14, 2010 at the Eben-Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush. He was born November 7, 1921 in Brush to Fred and Marie (Kembel) Weimer. Reinhart married Rose K. Gammel on December 8, 1942 in Harrisburg, Nebraska. Mr. Weimer was a member of the Immanuel Evangelical Church in Ft. Morgan. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, playing golf and in recent years spending winters in Phoenix. Reinhart's life and hobbies were one in the same, his farm. He took great pride in the things that it took to keep it going, like fixing machinery and such. His family was very important to him and he especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Rose K. Weimer of Ft. Morgan, daughter, Sandra Cowen of Ft. Morgan, son Robert Weimer of Ft. Morgan, sisters, Caroline Browne of Washington D.C. and Ruth Anderson of San Diego, CA, brothers, Sam Weimer of Brush and Harry Weimer of Ft. Morgan, four grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren. Reinhart was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Ruben and Fred Weimer and three sisters, Lydia Meyer, Marie Weimer and Martha Stark. Memorial Services will be Saturday, January 23, 2010 at 11:00 am at the Immanuel Evangelical Church in Fort Morgan. Services will conclude at the church. Memorial Gifts may be made in Reinhart's name in care of the Immanuel Evangelical Church.
