Reta Elmina Baughman Brening Remington, 85, returned to her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, in Heber City, Utah near her daughter. Reta was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Reta was born to Charles & Ella Baughman on May 11, 1928, in Snyder,, CO. She grew up on the family farm which instilled in her a sense of hard work and appreciation. She worked for AT&T for many years starting off as a switch board operator with Mountain Bell and then working in administration with Pacific Tel & Tel until her retirement. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers Association. She lived in Orange, California before retiring to and spending many happy years in Green Valley, Arizona. She absolutely loved Arizona. She enjoyed painting and even took lessons from Leslie B. DeMille. She enjoyed her vacations to San Blas, Mexico, and other places around the world traveling, sewing, spending time with family and doing family history. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and had a strong testimony of Jesus Christ and God the Father. Reta married Harold Brening (deceased) later divorced , then married Ralph Donald Remington (deceased. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Elton, Raymond, and Roy. She is survived by her sisters, Lucille, Wilma, and Doris Jean; daughter, Kathi Olsen; son, Charles Brening; step-daughter, Cendi Remington, step-son, John Remington, 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. The family would like to offer special thanks to Siali for her devotion and care for Reta. Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 12, 2014, at 11:00 AM at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Brush, Colorado. Interment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery. Flowers are appreciated. Reta wanted us to know that "I lived a good life."
