Richard Kent Sailsbery, 86, of Fort Morgan, died Friday, October 15, 2021 at Colorado Plains Medical Center in Fort Morgan.

He was born January 7, 1935 to Bemine & Eleanor (Lemons) Sailsbery in Weldona, the youngest of 11 children. The family relocated to Fort Collins where Richard graduated. After graduation he returned to Fort Morgan where he worked for Gambles store. He later worked for Johnson-Achizer Appliance Store and later for the Morgan County Sherriff's Office before retiring.

Richard married Margaret Fabricius on September 29, 1956. She preceded him in death in 2011.

Survivors include his daughter, Shirley Sailsbery; his grandson, Troy Allan Sailsbery; and his great grandchildren, Skyler, Whisper, and Richard, all of Fort Morgan; and his sister, Phyllis Gueswel of New Mexico.

He was preceded by his parents, Bemine & Eleanor Sailsbery; his wife, Margaret Louise Sailsbery; his brothers, Ben, Edward, Art, and Robert Sailsbery; and his sisters, Thelma Whittingtion, Laoma Mitchell, Frances Sailsbery Kelly, Doris Kennedy, and Opal Sailsbery.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 20 ^th from 5 -7 PM at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan.

Funeral services will be Thursday, October 21 ^st at 10:30 AM, also at the chapel. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Fort Morgan.
