Rita Marie Flores, 43 years of age, passed away on the evening of February 9th,

2024. She was born January 22, 1981 in Fort Morgan, CO to Adan and Yolanda Flores from Brush, CO. She was the youngest of six children, preceded in death by her brother, David Flores and her grandparents, Anita and Daniel Acosta from Lamisa, TX, and Josefina and Aurelio Flores from Brush, CO.

Rita is survived by her three children, Anthony (Maria), Irais, and Lydia Gonzalez and two grandchildren. Her sister, Frances (Manuel) Campa, her brother, Felix (Delma) Flores, her brother, Adan (Sofia) Flores and sister, Josie (Jamie) Castaneda. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.

Rita was spunky and had a contagious smile that brought many together. She could make everyone laugh with her goofy personality and blunt honesty. She loved going to concerts and dancing with friends and family. Her favorite past times were game nights (especially Loteria). She was the type of person you could count on for any situation regardless of her health. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren and supported everyone's family events. She enjoyed working even when she was not feeling well but was proud and happy to be providing for her family. Occasionally on Saturdays you could count on her to be at the racetracks and on Sundays at the Bingo. Rita loved having her Tuesday morning dates and eating dinner with friends. Even on days she was not feeling her best, she always wanted to be with family.

A visitation will be held at Heer Mortuary in Brush on Thursday Feb. 15th 2024 from 4-6pm with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 6pm.

Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Brush on Friday Feb. 16th, 2024 at 10:30am

A reception will be held at La Bamba after the service.
