Robert B. Acosta, 89, longtime area resident, died Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at his home in Brush. He was born June 6, 1925 in Fort Morgan to Hipolito and Delores (Martinez) Acosta. Robert was a member of the Catholic Church. He raised animals and enjoyed fishing, and reading, especially westerns. Survivors include his wife Jessie of Brush; one son, Butch Acosta of Greeley, two daughters, Betty Califf of Fort Morgan and Kim Castorena of Brush; one sister, Mary Mendoza of Fort Morgan, one brother, Felix Acosta of Brush; eleven grandchildren, and thirty-eight great and great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters, one great-great grandson, and his parents. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, June 5, 2015 at 1:30 PM at Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Brush. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens in Fort Morgan.
