Robert W. "Bill" Anderson Jr., 80, longtime Colorado resident,  passed away Friday, April 15, 2016 at Eben-Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush, CO.  Bill was born September 16, 1935 in Longmont, CO to Robert and Alice (Riley) Anderson.

On October 13, 1979, Bill married Patricia Hamlow in Fort Collins, CO.  In his early years, Bill was a rodeo rider participating in the heel and toe and bull riding and to this day he is still a cowboy at heart. He was an avid fisherman and huntsman.  He loved to build things out of wood especially kids toys, puzzles, doll houses and picnic tables. When he wasn't at home he was at the family cabin in Rand, CO that he spent ten years building.  Bill was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Bill is survived by his wife, Patricia; six children, KC (Brian) Miller of Gilbert, AZ, Renda (Michael) Collins of West Plains, MO, Zane (Pam) Schmeeckle of Fort Morgan, CO, Wayne (Robin) Schmeeckle of Fort Morgan, CO, Barbara Schmeeckle of Mesa, AZ, and Fred (Kim) Schmeeckle of Greeley, CO; one sister, Joan (Larry) Willford of LaPorte, CO; one brother, Andrew (Janet) Anderson of Wellington, CO; four step-brothers, Allyn(Mary) Anderson, Gunar (Cheryl) Anderson, John (Linda) Anderson,  and Jim (Tammy) Anderson; one uncle, Pat (Vivian) Riley; numerous nieces and nephews and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held at a later at the Rand Cemetery.  Memorial donations may be sent to Eben-Ezer Lutheran Care Center in c/o Anderson family.
