Robert Gene Buchanan, 59, passed away in Fort Morgan on Wednesday, November 8, 2023.

Bob was born on July 31, 1964 in Fort Morgan to Franklin & Lois (Stevens) Buchanan.

He grew up with a love of cars. Some of his favorites were the Bandimere Speed way races, Car shows, spending time with family near and far, camping, and hanging out with the grandkids. He liked to fix up cars and trucks in his spare time. He never met a stranger and made friends with everyone. Even at a restaurant, he'd stop to talk to at least five people on his way out. He loved his daughters dearly and was always a phone call away.

In his younger years, he learned a lot of his skills at Dexheimer Welding. Later, he worked for Pepsi Cola Bottling Group for 17 years throughout Northeastern CO. Afterwards he dedicated 15 years to BNSF Railway. He was full of life and laughter. Loved people and the community in Fort Morgan. We will miss his upbeat personality, humor, and how he loved to razz people.

Bob is survived by his daughter, Ashley Osburn, husband Zach, grandchildren, Josh SanMiguel, Alyssa Kahrs, Kyllon Kahrs, Jaiden Osburn, Jordan Osburn; his daughter, Kelsey Forbes, fiancé, Nicholas Cooling, grandchildren, Lilly Jo Forbes, Brogan Forbes; brothers, Frank Buchanan, John Buchanan (wife Paula Buchanan), Jerry Buchanan (wife Rene Buchanan), and Patrick Buchanan.

He will be missed by many, and we will keep him close to our hearts.

A celebration of life will be held this Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the Hall Event Center, 204 W. Beaver Ave., Fort Morgan, CO, 80701.
