Robert Duane Hanson, 53, lifelong area resident, died October 22, 2007 at his home in Ft. Morgan. He was born May 9, 1954 in Akron, Colorado to Mark and Hazel (Batterson) Hanson. He married Tomasa Frias in Brush, Colorado. Robert enjoyed his work as a truck driver. He also liked tinkering around the house, was a jokester, a mechanic and a sincere man of his word. He loved his family. His children and grandchildren were very special to him. Robert's survivors include, his wife Tomasa of Ft. Morgan, three daughters, Michera VanGorder of Ft. Morgan, Shayla Mason of Greeley and Brenda Hanson of Ft. Morgan, two sisters, June Bohl and Teresa Harris both of Ft. Morgan, one brother, Ervin Hanson of Denver and six grandchildren. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Verda Eli and his niece Monica Eli. Visitation will be Sunday, October 28, 2007 from 2 until 5 PM at the Heer & Jolliffe Mortuary in Ft. Morgan. Funeral Services will be Monday, October 29, 2007 at 10:30 AM at the Heer & Jolliffe Mortuary Chapel in Ft. Morgan. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens. Friends who wish may make memorial gifts in Robert's name in care of the mortuary. The Heer & Jolliffe Mortuary in Fort Morgan is in charge of arrangements.
