Robert Bell Jr., 83, of Fort Morgan died Tuesday at the Valley View Villa Care Center in Fort Morgan. He was born February 19, 1926 in Fort Morgan to Rosco Bell and Hazel (Overton) Petitt. He married Dorothy Atwood on August 30, 1948 in Fort Morgan. Mr. Bell spent a lot of time driving truck in the mountains and made many of his friends there. He got started out by working in Saratoga, Wyoming on a ranch. Mr. Bell made sure anywhere he traveled he had his dog by his side. He enjoyed distributing donuts to the local nursing homes. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting. Robert is survived by his daughter; Penny Bell of Fort Collins, his two sons; Robert Bell of Greeley and Russell Bell of Holiday Florida and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, mother, step father; Dewey Pettit and sister; Barbara Bell. An informal coffee will be held Saturday, October 31, 2009, at the Fort Morgan Senior Center from 9 – 11 AM. Friends are invited to come and join the family at this informal service. The Heer & Dahl Mortuaries are in charge of the cremation arrangements.
