Obituary

Robert Reyes Luna, 66, lifelong area resident, died Thursday, September 22, 2016, in a one vehicle rollover that happened south of New Raymer.

Robert was born September 10, 1950, in Brush, Colorado, to Alexander Sr. and Benilda (Salas) Luna.

He married the love of his life, Rafaelita K. Drake, on November 14, 1969, in Ft. Morgan, Colorado. Bob had a 28-year career with CDOT.  He retired in 2006.

Bob enjoyed life to the fullest and was passionate in every way. He had a contagious laugh, loved with his whole heart, and had an animated sense of humor.  He was happiest being the life of the party and living life on the edge.  He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, music, his dogs, star gazing and moon watching, bonfires, camping, traveling, and watching the Broncos. He was an avid Bronco fan.

Bob is survived by his wife Ralfie of Wiggins, two daughters, Renee Buchanan (Jerry) of Wray, and Roz Long (Dave) of New Raymer, one brother, David Luna (Mary) of Brush, and two sisters, Josie Keller and Rosie Luna both of Fort Morgan, sister-in-law, Eve Luna of Fort Collins, grandchildren, Corey (Lisa), Trevor, Alex, Samantha, and Jenna Buchanan, Andy and David Long, and great granddaughter Emma Buchanan, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by sisters, Pilar and Helen Luna, infant twin brothers, Alex and Alvin, another brother, Alex Luna Jr., and his parents.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Bobby on Friday, September 30, 2016, at 2 p.m. at the Country Steakout in Fort Morgan.
