Robert John Lusby, 60, former Brush resident, passed away Sunday, August 13, 2017 at the Bonell Good Samaritan Care Center in Greeley. He was born May 2, 1957, in Denver, CO to Dr. Luther & Muriel Lusby.

Bob graduated from Brush High School in 1975. On December 26, 1975, Bob joined the US Army. He was honorably discharged on December 14, 1981.

Bob enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his 2 nieces and their children. Prior to ill health forcing his retirement, Bob worked as a deputy sheriff for the Denver Sheriff Department. He was a member of the Catholic Church.

Survivors include his 2 brothers, Louis of Northglenn and Paul of Denver; his sister-in-law, Debbie of Greeley; and a 1/2 sister, Carole Reeve of Elgin, OK; also by 2 nieces, Erika & Heather and their children Madison, Rory and Kaden. He was preceded in death by his brother, Mark; his Father, Dr. Lu Lusby II; and his Mother, Muriel Lusby.

A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, August 25, 2017, at 10:30 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Brush. Inurnment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery. Military honors will be presented by the US Army, American Legion #68 / VFW #3551 and the Patriot Guard. The Heer Mortuary is entrusted with the funeral arrangements. Friends who wish may make memorial gifts to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
