Robert M. Mitchell, 89, former Brush resident, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2008, in Fort Collins, CO. He was born January 17, 1919, in Skidmore, MO, to Harry & Gertrude Mitchell. On November 22, 1941, Bob married Rosa Lee Roark in Maryville, MO. He served in the US Army from 1943 until 1946. In 1955 the Mitchell family moved to Brush where Bob taught at the Brush High School. He retired in 1975. Bob enjoyed playing golf. Survivors include his wife, Rosa Lee; children, Linda Leinweber, Nancy Cash, Jon Mitchell and Jim Mitchell and 3 grandchildren. At Bob's request, a family service and burial was held at the Brush Memorial Cemetery on Tuesday, October 14, 2008.
