Robert H. Moos, 86, passed away in his home on Sunday, August 4, 2019.  He always went by the name of Bob.  He was born in Medina, ND on Feb 5, 1933 to Jacob and Marie (Mayer) Moos.

Bob worked on a high- powered line when he met his wife, Deanna, who was from Brush.  They married June 5, 1954 in Brush.

Bob & Deanna moved with the power line construction crew, which soon became the telephone line, all over Colorado, Kansas, North Dakota, Nebraska and South Dakota until Uncle Sam called and said "come, son we need you"!  He was drafted into the service in June 1957.  He served in Germany for 18 months, leaving Deanna home and pregnant.  He was honorably discharged in June 1959.  Following his discharge, Bob brought his wife and new son, Jerry, to Grand Island, NE, where he worked as a diesel mechanic for 8 months.  Bob decided to come to Brush to see if he could find a mechanic position in one of the two garages.  The Chevrolet garage hired him so he went to Grand Island, packed up his family and came to Brush, where they have lived ever since.  He worked for the Chevrolet garage for 20 years and then started his own garage, which he ran for 25 years.  He closed his shop to build a house on the same property.  He was so proud of the job he did building their house at age 72.  He built the house with styrofoam walls filled with concrete, making it a very cool house in the summer and very warm in the winter.  He told his family he retired to build the house but that wasn't quite true as he continued working on cars until health issues forced him to stop in the spring of 2019.

Bob & Deanna enjoyed traveling, taking trips to Jamaica, Hawaii, following the west coast from California to Canada, and traveling down the east coast.  They especially enjoyed the great fishing trip to Flinn Flann, Canada and the many fishing trips to North Sterling Reservoir, Pruett Reservoir, and Shadow Mountain.  They belonged to a camper club for many years and traveled all around Colorado.  Bob especially enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and repairing vehicles.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Deanna; 3 children, Jerry (Tami), Brenda (Mark), and Carol; three grandchildren, Justin (Olga), Brittannie (Ryan) and Darryl (Mollie) and 6 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Leona; and a brother-in-law, Pat James.  He was preceded in death by 6 brothers, 2 sisters and his parents.

A memorial service will be held Friday, August 16, 2019, at 11:00 AM at the Rankin Presbyterian Church in Brush.  The service will conclude at the church.  The Heer Mortuary & Crematory is entrusted with the funeral arrangements.  Friends who wish may make memorial gifts to the Rankin Presbyterian Church.
