Obituary

Robert John Pachek, 62, longtime area resident, died Saturday, June 25, 2016 at his home in Wiggins.

He was born July 25, 1953 in Pueblo to Carl and Therese (Balleweg) Pachek.

He married Mary Kopetzky on November 10, 1979 in Wiggins.

Robert was an active member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Wiggins. He was a Sir Knight of the 4th degree in the Knights of Columbus. He also was a religious education instructor and confirmation coordinator.

Robert had a strong interest in fishing and hunting, especially when showing his children and grandchildren how to do them. He also had a love for baseball. Coaching for so many years, he was actually coaching children of his former little league players. He also led Boy Scouts from Tiger Cub to Eagle Scouts for 25 years.

Above all, his family was the light of his life. He could regularly be found grilling Sunday dinner. He was known by many as a "grill master."

Survivors include, his wife Mary of Wiggins, sons, Christopher Pachek (Juli) of Wiggins, and John Pachek (Macey), also of Wiggins, daughters, Nancy Ruhl (Jeff) of Wiggins, Susan Papp (Daniel) of Denver, Carol Francone (Levi) of Wiggins, and Sarah Pachek (Marcus) of Fort Morgan, sisters, Janette Richard (David), Donna Pachek, Paula Pachek, and Carol Pachek all of Phoenix, Arizona, his aunt, Gertrude Pachek of Pueblo, and grandchildren, Hunter Keely, Samuel Pachek, Madilyn, Ashlee, and Sadie Ruhl, Kylee Papp, Courtney, and Chelsey Francone, Payton and Cason Pachek, and Brielle Vowell.

There will be a visitation for Robert on Thursday, June 30, 2016 starting at 6:00 PM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Wiggins followed by a Rosary Vigil at 7:00 PM at Our Lady of Lourdes.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, July 1, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Saint Helena's Catholic Church in Fort Morgan. Interment will be in the Hoyt Cemetery in Hoyt, Colorado.
