Robert (Bob) Dean Scheidt, 81, lifetime resident of Fort Morgan, CO, passed away at Porter Hospice on June 30, 2021 from complications of ALS.  Services will be held July 10 th at 11:00 AM at the Columbarium at the Fort Morgan Cemetery.  A light lunch will be served at Mavs following the service. Anyone who cannot attend the service please stop by Mavs at 12:15 PM and join us in sharing memories of Bob.

Bob was born to John and Mary Scheidt on September 3, 1939 at the hospital in Fort Morgan. Bob attended school in Fort Morgan and graduated from Fort Morgan High School in 1958.  Bob and Sally met in their high school years and were married in 1958.

Bob worked in the family business as an electrician, beginning in his early teens, taking over Scheidt Electric and running it until he retired in 2011.  Bob served as a fireman (aspiring to assistant fire chief) in the Fort Morgan fire department for 20 years.  He was an avid woodworker, building beautiful pieces from tiny bird houses to bathroom cabinets.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his son, Jeff.  Some of his early endeavors included flying, drag racing and trap shooting.  He very much enjoyed spending time with his family.

Bob is preceded in death by his son, Jeff; brother, Reuben; sister, Lillian, and survived by his wife of 62 years, Sally Scheidt; daughter, Kim (Don Kaiser) of Littleton, CO; granddaughter, Macayla Scheidt, and daughter in law, Tracy Parcheta of Steamboat Springs, CO.
