Robert "Bob: A. Spomer, 83, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at the North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, CO.  He was born December 12, 1935, in Ovid, CO to Norbert & Marie Spomer.

Following graduation from Fort Morgan High School in 1955, Bob joined the US Army.  Following his honorable discharge Bob began working at Safeway.  On December 1, 1957 Bob married Carol Haber in Fort Morgan.  He worked as a police officer for the Fort Morgan Police Department.  After 17 years he joined the Colorado Sate Patrol where he worked for a short time and then came back to FMPD.  After 2 years he began working for Town & Country Plumbing.  He later started B & C Plumbing Company in Brush.

Bob was a member of Platte Valley Baptist Church.  He helped several churches complete building projects.  He enjoyed stock car racing, building and flying radio control airplanes, outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, and camping, and bowling.  His favorite time was spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Carol; daughter, Pamela Sue (William Rodney) Babcock; 1 sister, Kathrine Stitt; 1 ½ sister Earlene; a ½ brother-in-law, Lyn Robertson;  5 grandchildren, Michael, Kenney, Dustin, Christopher, and John; and 12 great grandchildren, Jonathan, James, Thalia, Camila, Acen, Stetson, Mahki, Michael, Alijah, Chloe, Tae, and Carina.  He was preceded in death by 4 children, Annie, Michael, James, and Roberta; a brother-in-law, Don Stitt; a step sister Orvaline Robertson; 1 grandson Ryan, and his parents.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, Nov 20, 2019, at 11:00 AM at the Platte Valley Baptist Church located on US Highway 34 east of Fort Morgan.  Military honors and inurnment will follow at Memory Gardens.
