Robert H. Steyaert, 80, life resident of Morgan County passed away Saturday evening, May 12, 2012, at the Valley View Nursing Home in Fort Morgan. He was born January 4, 1932, in Brush, to Arthur and Dora Steyaert. Bob served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He farmed near Hillrose for many years. Prior to retirement, Bob worked as the Ditch Rider for the Upper Platte & Beaver Irrigation Ditch. Survivors include his 3 children, Robert of Wichita, KS and Archie of Brush, and Debra Nira of Evans, CO; 1 sister, Irene Howell of Brush; 3 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and 6 nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary. A memorial service will be held Friday, May 18, 2012, at 10:00 AM at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary Chapel in Brush. The service will conclude at the mortuary.
