Obituary

Robert A. "Bob" Wilhelmson, 60, of Fort Morgan, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday morning, June 25, 2015 at Colorado Plains Medical Center. Bob was born September 18, 1954 in Fort Morgan and was a lifelong resident. A proud Veteran, he served 17 years in the United States Navy, first as a Seal Team Member and eventually as a Hospital Corpsman. He worked as a long time little league coach, mentoring generations of kids and he was instrumental in developing fundamentals to future ballplayers. Bob was a fan of all Colorado sports teams. His passion for sports and baseball in particular was second to none. His other interests included collecting sports memorabilia, tending to his yard, working out, and spending quality time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Evelina Wilhelmson; three children, Reggie Wilhelmson, Rhonda Wilhelmson Krill, and Bobby Wilhelmson; his son-in-law, Alex Krill; his mother, Lucille Wilhelmson; one brother, Ron Wilhelmson; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his beloved boxer dogs, Chief and Pearl. He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Wilhelmson; and his uncle, Merl Curtis. A memorial service will be at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan on Wednesday, July 1st at 3:00 PM. Memorial donations may be made to Evelina Wilhelmson and sent to Heer Mortuary, 225 E. Platte Ave., Fort Morgan, CO 80701.
