Roger (Rogelio) Felix Madrid was born June 8, 1953 to Erminia (Cruz) and Atilano Madrid. He passed away January 14, 2021 in Phoenix, Arizona.

Roger spent most of his life in Weldona, CO and graduated from Weldon Valley School in 1971. He married Crystal Fenn November 9, 1974.  Roger and Crystal made their home in Weldona where they raised their three daughters, Joette, Stacy, and Veronica. In 2015, they moved to Fort Morgan and in August 2020, they moved to Arizona to spend their retirement years in the sunshine.

Roger had many talents. He worked in construction in his early years and then drove a school bus in Weldona and Fort Morgan in recent years. However, his most important job was being Grandpa. He could always be seen at one of their events, giving them a ride somewhere, or trying to beat them at Dominos. He also enjoyed woodworking, making rosaries and fishing.  He could often be found at a local craft fair selling his creations. Roger was a member of Saint Francis of Assisi and Saint Helena Catholic Churches where he was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Roger is survived by his wife, Crystal, of Phoenix, AZ; his children, Joette Madrid & Tom of Superior, Stacy & Kevin Bell of Fort Morgan, and Veronica Vuittonet of Brush; his grandchildren, Kaleb, Kendra, & Katie Bell, Jayda Madrid & Logan Spiegel, and Destany, Alicia, and Angelina Vuittonet. He is also survived by his sisters, Prisicilla (Fred) Riegel, Isabel Ortiz, and Bernice Bell and brothers, Frank (Mary) and Henry (Louise); his brothers and sisters-in-law, Linda and Sam Russler, Arlene & Morey Greenwood, and Earl Fenn along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Luciano, Ernie, Gilbert, and Ted and his sister, Margaret.

Recitation of The Holy Rosary will be Sunday, February 21 ^st at 4:00 PM at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at Saint Helena's Catholic Church in Fort Morgan on Monday, February 22 ^nd at 10:30 AM. Inurnment will follow in the columbarium at the Brush Memorial Cemetery, after which,  a luncheon reception will be held at the Carroll Building in Brush.
