Roger C. Norris, 74, of Fort Morgan, passed away Thursday, March 15, 2018 at the Sterling Living Center.

He was born July 13, 1943 in Long Beach, CA to Norman & Margaret (Beedy) Norris. After high school Roger served in the Navy from 1961 to 1964 and was honorably discharged. He married Shanna Jean Davis on April 27, 1966 in Last Chance. They lived in Colorado Springs until his job with CDOT brought them to Fort Morgan in 1977. Roger worked for CDOT for 28 years before his retirement.

Roger enjoyed fishing, arrowhead hunting, boating, and riding motorcycles and ATVs. He had a passion for old/collectors cars and loved going to car shows. Roger was known as a jack of all trades, having worked in refrigeration, electrical, and plumbing as well as building custom cabinets and working in camper manufacturing.

Roger is survived by his daughter, Melinda Whaley and husband, Rick of Fort Morgan; his granddaughters, Tandee Whaley and Chelsea Whaley; and his great grandson, Grant Michael Mirini, all of Fort Morgan; his sister-in-law, Cheryl Selan and her husband, Dave; and brother-in-law, Don Davis and his wife, Kathy, all of Grand Junction; his nephew, Park Price and his wife, Wendy of Texarkana, TX; and his daughter's husband's parents, Bob & Yvonne Whaley of Fort Morgan.

He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents; his sister, Nancy Fisher; and his "step-daughter", Vickie R.

Visitation will Tuesday, March 20th from 4 – 6 PM at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 21st at 10:30 AM, also at the Heer Chapel. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM in Glen Cemetery which is southwest of Lindon.
