Roger Preisendorf, 75, longtime area resident left this earth on Saturday, October 15, 2016 after a brief battle with cancer.

He was born on October 25, 1940 to Reinhart and Rachel Preisendorf in Fort Morgan. One of seven kids, he attended and graduated school in Fort Morgan. Roger and Wynell were married on March 14, 1961, and then had their son, David.

Prior to his retirement, he spent his working career at businesses in Fort Morgan, primarily at Safeway and Co-owner of Culligan. Roger loved sports and participated in high school sports. As an adult he played fast and slow pitch softball, golfed, and was a bowler.

Roger is survived by his wife, Wynell; his granddaughter, Amanda Preisendorf; sisters, Kathy Neb (Dan), Nancy Green (Marshall), and his brother, Bob Preisendorf (Ellie).

He was preceded in death by his son, David; his parents; his sister, Patty Lee, and his brothers, Ronnie and Marvin. In addition to his siblings, Roger also had many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, which were a big part of his life.

At a later date, the family will gather to honor Roger and his life, his love for them and the lives he touched. Until we meet again, we love you and you will be dearly missed by all.
