Ronald L. Samples, 62, passed away Saturday, August 29, 2015. He was born October 4, 1952, in Denver, to Bill & Betty Mae Samples. Ron lived most of his life in the Brush / Snyder communities. He graduated from Brush High School in 1970. On June 27, 1974, he married Kathy Gray in Aurora, CO. Ron served several years in the US Navy stationed on the USS Drum nuclear submarine. It was during this time he learned the electrical trade. Following his discharge, Ron worked at the Pawnee Power Plant for several years. He later left Pawnee and began his own electrical construction company, Ron Samples Electrical Construction Company. Ron was an inventor. He always liked the challenge of developing something new and unusual. His favorite past time was spent working on the landscaping around his house. Many will remember his holiday decorating on the outside of his house. He loved holidays and liked to share them with many in the community. Ron enjoyed life, especially life with his wife of 41 years. Survivors include his wife, Kathy of Brush; 1 daughter, Nola (Erik) Mulkey of Loveland, CO, his Mother, Betty Mae Samples of Brush; 2 granddaughters, Madeline and Keira; and 3 brothers, John Samples & David Samples both of Brush and Doug Samples of Eaton, CO. He was preceded in death by his Dad. At Ron's request, no formal funeral service will be held. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to the Heer Mortuaries & Crematory. A celebration of Ron's life will be held Monday, September 7, beginning at 5:00 PM at the Sample's residence in the Beaver Creek subdivision of Brush.
