Obituary

Ronald Baltazar, 43, of Denver, died Sunday November 28 at his home in Denver. He was born March 7, 1967 in Fort Morgan to Raymond and Inez Baltazar. Ron grew up on the farm south of Wiggins. He wrestled in high school and won numerous tournaments and placed second at the Colorado State Tournament his senior year. He was a member of the National Honor Society throughout high school. Ron graduated from Wiggins High School in 1985. Denver Institute of Technology in 1986 with a degree in Architectural / Structure Drafting. Metropolitan State College of Denver in 2008 with a degree in Civil Engineering Technology / Cum Laude. After living and working in California for three years he returned to Colorado. He worked for various architectural companies and engineering firms in Denver. He loved the outdoors. He enjoyed river rafting and fly fishing with his family and friends. He ran many marathons in Colorado and South Dakota. He loved his dogs and playing board game. He traveled abroad with friends to several different countries. He is survived by his mother Inez Baltazar of Wiggins, two brothers Ray Baltazar and wife Linda of Wiggins and Mark Baltazar and wife Sandra of Littleton, 5 nieces, 1 nephew & 2 great nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Raymond J. Baltazar and his grandparents Mr. & Mrs. H Torrez and Mr. and Mrs. G Baltazar. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 am at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary Chapel in Ft. Morgan. The service will conclude at the chapel. Friends who wish may make memorial donations in Ron's name to the Humane Society care of the Heer & Dahl Mortuary 225 E. Platte Ave. Ft. Morgan, CO 80701.
