Ronald Lee Hunt was born in Brush, Colorado to Roland Estel Hunt and Lila Marie Awmiller Hunt on August 2, 1952. He was the third of four children. He passed away on December 2, 2024, at Poudre Valley Hospital in Ft. Collins, Colorado following a brief illness.

Ron graduated from Fort Morgan High School in 1971. Ron was right at home on the farm, helping milk the dairy cows and taking long walks with his dogs, and sometimes the cats would follow as well. He worked at the sale barn on sale days, helping to keep the cattle and sheep separated that were ready for auction.

One day, Ron went out to work on tearing down the old milk barn and fell, severely breaking his leg, requiring a helicopter ride to Greeley. He spent some time at Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush while he recuperated. Ron continued to live at Eben Ezer assisted living for the next fifteen or so years. It was his home, and he knew just about everything that was going on there. He loved to visit and didn't know a stranger; they were friends he hadn't met yet.

Ron was preceded in death by his father, Roland; mother, Lila; and sister, Judy. He is survived by his brothers, James (Jim) and Gary, both of Brush, Colorado; and numerous nieces and nephews.

At Ron's request, there will be no funeral services.
