Obituary

Ronald Carroll Mackey, 62, born April 16, 1958 in Longview, Washington, passed away at North Colorado Medical Center on May 24, 2020. Ron passed peacefully with his wife Patricia by his side.

Ron was and always will be an inspiration to many for his dedication and devotion to his family and those held dearly to his heart. He was the true essence and definition of a family man. He was a loving husband, amazing father, wonderful grandfather, brother, and brother in law.

He was always on the move, for he never liked to be still for long periods of time. He always had projects going on. He had a bunch of dreams, and he always made those dreams a reality for him and his family through hard work and many years of dedication. Love is what drove him to be the best man he could be.

He worked at Leprino Foods for 26 years and for many years he was ambitious enough to be a part in establishing the Colorado Ranchers and Dairy plant at Brush.

His favorite time of year was summer because it allowed more activities with the family. He loved to take the family on rides on the motorcycle, barbecuing, and enjoying the pool and hot tub.

Ron is survived by his beautiful wife of 35 years, Patricia Mackey; three children, Billy, Janelle, and Desiree; four grandchildren, Ethan, Isaiah, Anastasia, and Isabella; a brother, James (Pearl) Mackey; Sister-in-laws, Maria Teresa Villaverde de Morales, Charlene (Gene) Kennedy, Cecilia (John) Garcia, Anita Larson, Maria (Rich) Alvarado; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Gordon Mackey; mother, June Carroll; brother, Ken Mackey; and father and mother in law, Luis and Lillian Alvarado.
